articles > 2009 The Wainwright Letters  Our Society Patron, Hunter Davies, authorised biographer of Alfred Wainwright, is about to start work on a new project entitled 'The Wainwright Letters' which has the approval of the Wainwright Estate. The letters will then be included in a book to be published in due course by Frances Lincoln. For approximately thirty-five years, AW sent hand-written replies to everyone who wrote to him. Hunter is now looking for anyone who received these letters to photocopy them, if you want them included, and to send them to: Alternatively they can be scanned and sent to publicity@wainwright.org.uk and will be forwarded onto the publishers.
