Articles > 2010 John Burland has recently decided to step down from his post as the Wainwright Society Press and Publicity Officer. John was a founding member of The Society and has worked tirelessly since the Society's inception in helping to establish and raise the profile of the Society to the wider general public. The Committee would like to thank John for his tremendous efforts during his time as Press and Publicity Officer. Happily, John has agreed to continue in his role as editor of Footsteps.

The Management Committee of the Society has agreed to co-opt Derek Cockell to the position of Press and Publicity Officer. This is an interim appointment until the next AGM in 2011.
