The North Western Ascent
The Cumberland Ale Keswick MOUNTAIN Festival 2008
Wednesday 14th May to Sunday 18th May

During the week of this year's Keswick Mountain Festival, members of The Wainwright Society were raising funds in aid of Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team, with a challenge called The North Western Ascent. A total of £1800 was raised.

The challenge was based on the 95 routes of ascent shown in Alfred Wainwright’s Sixth Pictorial Guide, The North Western Fells.
