Coast to Coast information board
Sunday 26th May 2013

A new Coast to Coast information board is to be placed at St. Bees on the ‘Wainwright Wall’. The board has been designed and paid for by the Society in a joint-project with St. Bees Parish Council. The board will be unveiled by Society Chairman, Eric Robson, on Sunday 26th May at 10 a.m.

The new information board is one of the projects that is being undertaken by the Society in 2013 as part of the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the publication of Wainwright’s Coast to Coast guidebook. The Society is working with North York Moors National Park to erect a similar board at Robin Hood’s Bay later in the year.

Waymarking the route has also started and it is hoped that this might be completed in 2013. Money for these projects is being raised through the Society’s annual Challenge; this year The Coast to Coast Challenge and sales of the 2014 Society calendar.
