The Wainwright Rose

Fryers Roses are naming a rose for A.W. in his centenary year, and an amount from each sale of "THE WAINWRIGHT ROSE" (if purchased from Kapellan) will be donated to Animal Rescue Cumbria.

The lemon yellow HT rose (L186) is a healthy strong grower with large, well formed blooms and tough foliage, and Animal Rescue Cumbria are now accepting orders at £9.95 including postage.

Fryers say that it will be launched at the Hampton Court Flower Show in July, and shown at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show later in July.

Fryers plan to feature the rose in their new catalogue - due out in June.

Description: A superb Hybrid Tea bush rose with large, elegant flowers of pale lemon, that are classically formed, lightly scented and carried both singly and several together on long stiff stems. The plant grows well, is vigorous with tough bright green foliage that has an excellent resistance to disease. Height 95cms x 90cms spread.

Animal Rescue Cumbria are hoping to plant the new rose around the new cattery they are building at present.
