Wainwright Photographic Competition 2007

This year’s competition attracted fewer entries than in 2006 however Derry Brabbs, world famous photographer and Honorary Member, who judged the entries commented:

Thank you presenting me with a wonderful portfolio of images and it has been
the hardest task since the competition began to decide upon a winner from
each category.

The winners this year were:

Film category:

Judy Leak (member 43) for her stunning shot of Bowfell Links.
Derry in selecting this winner commented: A great shot of the Links of Bowfell
and the Three Tarns with a stunning sky.

Digital section:

Sean McMahon (member 393) for this great picture of Levers Water
Derry’s comments were: A beautifully composed image, full of atmosphere that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the Lakeland fells.

Thanks to all the members who took part in this annual competition and get
out there with your cameras to capture the winning entries for 2008.
