The Wainwright Society Terms & Conditions
We hope you will be pleased with any goods you order from The Wainwright Society and with your Membership. There are a few basic Terms and Conditions to which we would like to draw your attention regarding your potential order.
Who are we? You are ordering from The Wainwright Society. The mailing address is The Wainwright Society, PO Box 35, MILNTHORPE, Cumbria LA7 7WJ. (We are a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation and do not have a Company Registration number).
Description of Goods or Services: We will give as much detail as possible in our ordering process. Should you still have any queries please contact us before placing your order to avoid delay or unnecessary returns. Contact details are shown on each Order Form.
Contact: The contact address for any queries with your order may vary dependent upon the item, but this will be clearly stated for each item when you are placing an order.
Pricing: All pricing is in pounds sterling. Prices quoted will include VAT at the current applicable rate and post & packing unless otherwise stated. If you are buying from outside the UK you may need to follow the guidelines on the ordering details for individual items. (Please note not all products may be available for overseas purchase; this will be stated on the ordering details for each item). All goods and services need to have payment with order; no credit is allowed.
Acceptance of Orders: The supply of goods from The Wainwright Society is subject to availability, and it is not always possible for us to inform you at the time you place your order whether the goods you want are still available for purchase. If the item is not available and not likely to come back into stock in a reasonable time we will let you know and cancel that item from your order and you will be given a full refund.
Delivery: Because we are a voluntary organisation there may be occasions due to holidays or illness when a normal delivery timescale is not possible. A normal delivery will be within 14 days of receipt of order and payment. In all circumstances except those beyond our control we will aim to deliver within a maximum 28 days.
Refunds and returns: We want you to be completely happy with anything you purchase from us. If for any reason this is not the case we will offer you either a replacement or a full refund of the price paid providing the item is not damaged in any way. We may ask for the return of the goods if you are claiming a refund. Return postage, with goods suitably packed, will be at your cost. We will ensure you have any payment refunded within 28 days of notification that you required a refund and receipt of returned goods if requested; notification to us should be in writing (post or email). In the case of membership, should you wish to cancel your membership you may do so in writing to the mailing address above within 28 days of joining when a full refund will be given; no refunds will be made after this time.
Complaints: Should you have need to complain about anything to do with your order and we have been unable to resolve this by the above methods, you may contact the Society Secretary at the mailing address above, who will take up the matter and respond to you within 14 days.
Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the price of the goods ordered. Under no circumstances will The Wainwright Society be liable for any of the following losses or damage (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from any purchase from The Wainwright Society; or (h) damage to property, personal injury or death (unless and to the extent caused by our proven negligence).
