Membership of The Wainwright Society
If you admire the works of Alfred Wainwright, or you are a fellwalker and use his guidebooks or have completed the Coast to Coast Walk, why not become a member of the Society? By joining The Wainwright Society not only do you get the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to keep alive the ‘fellwalking traditions promoted by AW’ but also adding your voice to the Society when it campaigns about issues, which could impact on AW’s beloved Lakeland and other upland landscapes.

There are a number of member benefits including: a free, quarterly A5 32-page magazine; an annual walks programme and discounted prices on holiday accommodation, outdoor clothing and walking gear.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Membership of the Society is for a Calendar Year beginning on 1st January. If you decide to join the Society part way through the year (1st January – end of June), your membership will be due for renewal on 1st January the following year.
However, if you join the Society on or after 1st July – end of December, your next year’s membership will be included – effectively, up to six months FREE.
Membership is for your ‘household’ so the annual payment allows you and the people you share your house with to access the Member Benefits, to go on Society Walks, to attend the AGM etc.
