Wainwright Society Calendar 2019
Following the success of previous years, the Society is once again producing a pictorial calendar for 2019.This uses the photographic skills of some of our members, all of whom have provided their services free of charge. The calendar is large format, size A3 with one page per month. Each month features a photograph taken by a member together with a related sketch and quote from one of AW’s famous works.
The proceeds from sales of the 2019 calendar will be donated to the Great North Air Ambulance (GNAAS). GNAAS is a charitably funded organisation that provides essential support for life-threatening incidents or potentially life-threatening incidents across north-east England, Yorkshire and Cumbria. This can include injuries sustained in places completely inaccessible by road or in adverse weather conditions, which can expose the patient to further danger or risk of exacerbating their condition. However, it is the skills of the trauma team on board that really make the difference to the patient. Currently, GNAAS uses first-generation ultrasound equipment and it is hoped that the funds raised by The Wainwright Society will be sufficient to supplement this with the latest ultrasound machines.
The price for 2019 has been held at £10 for web sales for buyers in the UK, EU and the US/Canada. Prices for other areas can be provided on request and these and any other queries concerning the calendar should be sent to [email protected]
Calendars will also be on sale at the Society lecture at Rheged on 20 October and at some Society walks.
Please note that calendars may take 7-10 days to arrive from the date the order is placed as the operation is run by volunteers and calendars are normally sent out in batches once or twice per week. Over the Christmas and New Year period calendars will not be sent out between 21 December and 2 January 2019 due to the closure of our delivery service over the holiday period. Orders received up to the evening of 20 December will be despatched on 21 December.
