The second of the Society’s Walks this year, led by Mark Abbott, was from Haworth on open moorland partly following the Bronte Way, then joining the Pennine Way ascending to the ruins of Top Withins for lunch, based on AW’s Pennine Way Companion and Dales Sketchbook. 20 Society members took part, including Chris Jesty who did the revisions for the Society’s re-issue of AW’s Pennine Way Companion (2nd edition published 2025). Sunny and warm, lovely spring weather for walking.
